You just got an 11 total, and now it’s party time.  You have a great chance to win this hand, and you must double down against anything the dealer has, except against an Ace. Besides getting a natural (blackjack), an 11 is the best starting hand you can get.

Common Loser Mistake:

Failing to double down 11 vs dealer’s 10 upcard, missing an opportunity to improve overall winnings.

Did you know..?

If you happen to find a single deck game, you should double down 11 vs the Ace as well!

However, in charity casinos or in Europe where the dealer does not check their hole card (dealer’s 2nd card), if the dealer gets blackjack you lose the double down as well. So in such an environment, if you play, don’t double 11 vs A.
